Jonny & Lyndsey
A couple of weeks ago Jonny & Lyndsey travelled with me to White Rocks Beach just outside Portrush for their engagement shoot. I knew straight away we were going to have a fantastic evening. Jonny & Lyndsey are a genuine, friendly and loving couple.
When we arrived at White Rocks Beach the Golden Hour was just starting. It was beautiful.
We spent the next hour and a half walking, talking and just having fun.
Their wedding in July is definitely something for me to look forward too.

North Coast – Northern Ireland
Caroline, Poppy and I have just had a fantastic week in Portstewart, staying in mum and dads caravan. Is it any wonder the North Coast of Ireland has been voted as one of most scenic coastal areas in the World. It really is beautiful.
We set off from home and decided to go the “long and winding road” via Larne, to join the “Causeway Coastal Route” which would take us via Glenarm (coffee stop), Carnlough, Glenariff, Cushendall, Cushendun and Ballycastle to name but a few. From the quaint Glenarm to the awe inspiring views along the coast road, the extra few miles were well worth it.
During the week we visited Downhill Beach, Ballintoy Harbour, White Rocks & Mussenden Temple. All well worth a visit.
Long evening walks are always a treat.
In Portstewart (and surrounding areas), one thing for sure is, you will never be stuck for somewhere to eat. Here are a few of the places we dined at:
Fantastic. Best roast duck in NI. Excellent sushi (pre order only). Extensive menu. Less busy midweek. Only bookable at weekends for parties of 8 or more.
Avg. Price – £20 per head for starter, main & dessert (excluding drinks)
1608 (sixteenoeight) – Bushmills
Wow. Small menu which changes regularly. Great service. Relaxed and well decorated environment. Most importantly, great food!
Avg. Price – £25 per head for starter, main & dessert (excluding drinks)
We have ate here before and really enjoyed it. This time it wasn’t as good. Overcooked tuna steak and a somewhat over priced menu left a slightly bitter taste. However, fantastic views if you are fortunate to get a table at a window.
Avg. Price – £25 per head for starter, main & dessert (excluding drinks)
Lunchtime Special – Cheap and cheerful. Reasonable self service selection. If you want a quick & tasty lunch, go for it. If you want finesse I would avoid.
Price – £7.50 per head for starter, main & dessert (excluding drinks)
Sunday Roast was OK! Not how your mum would make it, but at £7.95 for a roast beef, pork, chicken or turkey dinner I suppose you can’t really complain.
Price – £7.95 per head for main (excluding starter, dessert & drinks)
The Fab Kebab – Coleraine
A kebab how it should be (in my opinion). Served in a Naan, these kebabs are packed with flavour. I would personally recommend the Mixed Kebab (includes tikka chicken, donar meat, onion bhaji). NB. The “Chilli Sauce” is NOT for the faint hearted, however very tasty and great for clearing blocked noses.
Avg. Price – £5 for a kebab
Well, believe it or not but we didn’t spend all our time eating. I did manage to get out a little and take a few pictures.
